Who we are

As a special needs/elder law attorney, David Rorden’s practice focuses on the specific needs of the elderly and disabled. He has been in practice for 10 years, opening his office in April of 2000.

The main components of his practice are:

  • Medicaid and other types of disability planning, including creating special needs trusts Estate
  • Planning: Wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, community property agreements
  • Probate and other forms of estate administration
  • Guardianships

An additional component of his practice is being the county-contracted public defender in involuntary mental commitment hearings conducted at St. John Medical Center. He handles on average about 20 to 25 such cases per month. Many of these cases involve elderly patients with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, which has given him additional insight into the mental issues facing an aging population.
